Kaeo Primary School, Northland New Zealand

Term 1 2010 flew by and here are a few events we got involved in.

Molly investigates a display to see if she can work it out.

Jodeci plays her music using bottles that she had tuned (using water) to make the right sounds.

Fairy rehearsing her introduction to our "Sound" presentation at assembly

The bed of nails was popular to try out, but Luke looks a little hesitant

Caleb creating pan pipes!!

Rehearsing with the boom whackers under our beautiful ghinko tree.

We studied Sound this term and its relationship with music- so lots of experiments discovering, creating and making sound. We had a visit from Anna Richards-of the Black Ferns for our Duffy Assembly and enjoyed hearing of her world travels as a NZ representitive rugby player. We got to travel to Whangarei to meet the BLUES rugby team, and we visited the Fonterra Science Roadshow in Kerikeri. We participated in our own, and the interschool swimming sports, with lots of success.
